Birthday Visit to Grandma

Whether she remembers it or not, I wanted JackJack to see Grandma for his birthday, so Nanny and Papa took us up to have lunch at Aunty Pam's house with afternoon tea with Grandma ;)
We went on the Monday public holiday in June.
Jack and I made a cake to share with Grandma.  We used our new cookcook table, which Jack loves!  I put a kitchen chair backed up to it, so that he is just the right height.
I was mixing the blue, I thought Jack was mixing the pink, and I looked up to find this ^^
Funny little fella!
Unfortunately, it was getting pretty late by the time it came outta the oven, so I made the big mistake of icing it while still hot.....woops....it started blowing heat bubbles through the icing and made it run like lava

Aunty Pam's house is about a 4hr car trip, and I get backseat car sick, so wore Mum's seabands....Jack found it funny to press the acupressure buttons for me ;)
Road trip to Grandma always provides Jack with lots of cool vehicles to see....a caravan
A truck....
Nanny and Papa as we travel over the Westgate bridge
Garbage truck.....Jack's fave type of truck! lol
Truck...
Morning tea at the truck stop, and ?Jack is still busy watching the passing traffic ;)
As we got the tour of Aunty Pam's new house, JackJack got busy with all the toys!
Spotted a pic of my Nanny in the lounge room, so took a pic of it to have a copy for myself!
This is my Nanny, Ada, who is my Grandma's mum, and she lived to see 100yrs!!
She passed away when I was 8yrs old, but still holds a special spot in my heart ;)
After delishes pumpkin soup and rolls for lunch, Jack quickly got back to playing cars, with Nanny and Papa
When Grandma arrived, we gave her one of our special photo's from our ABA beach shoot, with our names written on it so she can try and remember us(my friend Susan suggested this!)
Cheeky boy having a little "dunce dunce!" before jockey change
This is the first time I've seen this, so I don't know where it was before now, but this is very special....Aunty Pam said it was put together by Papa's  work mates, welded nuts and bolts, as a trophy for his retirement.
How cool is it?!
My Papa I mean, my Dad's Dad
I brought along sprinkles and more icing pens, but this cake wasn't savable...still tasted pretty good though, and was pretty on the inside coz it was rainbow cake!

Uncle Ian put together his grandsons train track to play with Jack ;)  He is like another Grandpa to Jack when we visit him
Jack sitting between Grandma and Muma, with the candles on his cake lit infront of him.....look at him, he knows it's all about him and he's a bit chuffed!
Grandma proudly watches as Jack tries to blow the candles, with help from Muma.
She was enjoying watching him play cars and make all the noises, she was filled with joy as she tried to verbalise how she can see he knows all the noises and what they do!
From the look on his face, he was "broom broom"ing as this shot was taken ;)
There was a cow we spotted in the paddock next to the driveway, so I took Jack over for a closer look before we left
Jack was so excited, and wanted to call the cow over to show his tractor to it!
He was saying "Boo! Wactar!"

In the car for the ride home.
Playing with his newly purchased motorbike, found at the truck stop on the way up
Conked before we dropped Grandma home!
Papa took us to Macca's for dinner, and as Jack stuffed his face with chippies, he watch Papa eat his home made salad like he was a crazy man!  Nanny said he was probably thinking "Why aren't you eating chippies Papa?  What's wrong with you?" lol

it was a lovely day but the trip seemed extra long especially coming home this time.
