Raining doesn't equal indoor play.....

I love Autumn.
I love the mix of cool and warm days, the sun kissing your face as you rug up in your woolys and leaves crunch under your feet.
Autumn also marks the increase of the rainy days, but in our family, rainy days doesn't mean indoor days ;)
Earlier this week we did some lovely outdoor crafts in the windy rain.
We were at JackJack's grandparents house, and after Papa left for work in the afternoon, Nanny, Jack and Muma set to work in the garden....
We grabbed a bucket to collect some dropped leaves, mostly from Nanny's neighbour's big oak tree that always messes the yard, but also from the gum's in Nanny's front yard.
Jack was enjoying the crunchy sounds he made as he stomped around on the dry leaves, and finding the yellow and red and even purple shades in the fresh leaves.

Thanks to Jack's mates- Kooper, Rubi, Finn and their Muma Jenni- we were inspired to do some leaf pasting.  We rolled out a long piece of butcher paper and Muma wrote "Autumn" in big letters, then we got to work glueing the leaves on.....

JackJack picking some leaves...
Raaaahhh! Glue hands ;-P
JackJack picked some bark too, which we glued on the "U"
Tada!! Hard to see on the angle, but the leaves spell out "AUTUMN" :)
JackJack lost interest halfway and left Muma to complete it as he pushed some cars and dollys around in the pram in the rain ;)
Afternoon tea break ;)
Then some of Jack's cousins arrived and they did some chalk drawings in the rain....
Millie loved how the wet path made her drawings smudge together and colours brighter ;)
