Not a fan of playcentres....

Am I missing something here?  What is the appeal of play centres?
Seriously, I don't get it!
I don't get why you want your child to play indoors on a beautiful sunny day, well just personally, even on a rainy day! lol
I don't get why you are happy to pay to play!
We've been to several play centres, and I don't really fancy any of them.
The tight arse in me is not impressed with shelling out money for my tot to play in a place less appealing to him then our local park.
Almost every time we've been to one, there has been an older, absolute shite of a kid, who's been left to run riot while his parent or guardian grabs a coffee and turns a blind eye.
I'm no helicopter parent, but most times we've gone to a play centre I've had to be, for all the nutter kids let loose in these places.
Stuff the bloody ball pits and jumping castles, the slides and stairs and wobble bridge at our local park are far more entertaining for Jack.
Not just the play equipment either......the wide open space, the fresh air....let the tots run around and tumble on the grass, crunch their feet on leaves, feel the textures of the surrounding trees and plants.
Get back to nature people, and enjoy your local surrounds!! ...for free!!!

nature...ewwwwww lol

hey im getting better...

i find i like the kids to be more contained, seeing as there is 1 of me and 2 of them, playcenters are more of a safety issue for me. when stels was a newborn and boobying around the clock, xave in a park would have been a nightmare...

seriously, i was terrified of taking him out in a public space and what would happen if i didn't get to him quick enough, i have a friend with twins who has the same fears.

As he gets older, it is getting easier, but now with her walking and climbing its a whole new set of issues for me.

so maybe, once you have 2 you are trying to watch yourself you might see the beneift of a play center... in saying that, Jack is a much calmer child that xave ever was/is... so that could also make it easier for you...

o0o im soooo with kint on this one... marlie vs jack who wins the psycho nut child award... that would be marlie lol! o0o jenjen i hope u get a kid that wont sit still for 5 seconds let alone a whole minute and then u will appreciate the play centers!! You have seen Marlie at music... now lets unleash that into a park when your pregnant and tired and dont wanna chase her the entire time to stop her running near a road or off to a stranger coz shes so darn curious about the whole world and only knows one way to express that! haha.. its not all peaches and cream to be la-di-da with nature trust me!! :P
