Hibernating....

I've been sick since last saturday, eek a whole week at home :(
Who ever coined the term "Stay At HOME Mum" is a twit....this Muma is usually out and about for the most part of the day all through the week, so this forced hibernation has been a bit depressive.
Thankfully, put some cars out for JackJack and he's one happy tot for hours on end, so my neglect of him compared to our usual interaction hasn't prompted too much mother guilt ;)
I've more or less been moving from the bed to the couch, back and forth....napping and doing a whole lot of nothing....except for monday, when I had a huge burst of energy amongst the illness, and got a mother load of chores done!
We had to take Sophie back to the vet tuesday for her check-up, and Polly came too, just for her nails to be trimmed.  Good news for Soph, she's healing well, the vet is impressed with the strong resistance she has in her legs and the self mutilation is also healing.  She has been rewarded with stints out of the bucket collar while we're home during the day to supervise, and short stints out of the cage.....and she's waisted no time in making mad dashes for the doors, both hubby and I have chased her in the backyard already! lol
Polly, who was only there for nail trimming, has been put on steroids for a skin condition, that is caused by allergy to fleas....they've been rather bad in our area this year, we haven't been able to keep on top of fleas here or at Mum's house, who lives a few blocks away.  Dad says the sandy soil of the land is likely to help the fleas breed.
We've made it through our first week of Tyler working day shifts!
Although, it hasn't been much of a test yet, coz we've not done any activities to get ready and leave the house by a set time.
The shift change has played havoc with Jack's sleep patterns.  Tyler hasn't gotten home 'til 8.30ish at the earliest, and Jack has pushed himself to stay awake...after going round the house asking "Where Tyler?" all day(Yes, Muma must nag Daddy aloooot coz tot calls him by his actual name now :-S )  And then last night Jack got on a bit of a crazy high with Daddy(Daddy really hypes him up with mucking around), which is all good and well during the daytime, but my golly.....I was still trying to calm him into a sleepy state at midnight :-0
Plus, the extra joy of this week.....not sure if it had anything to do with the shift change or not....Tyler got sent to the doctor on the way home monday from a back injury *sigh.  He had to go back thursday night for physio, and the doctor obviously has no children, because hubby came home with the advice not to lift anything more then 1kg.
1kg, are you kidding me??
Our teeny tiny cat weighs more then that!
Our small dog weighs more then that!
And most importantly.....our tot is over 10kg......you can't tell a Daddy he can't pick up his son!!!! Na uh girlfriend!
You can't tell a man that, in a way that he's gona take it as gospel, and come home to a house that he barely lifts a finger in anyway, to tell his wife he has to take it easy!! Na uh girlfriend!
It never rains, it pours around here!
But...if you want the rainbow, you gota put up with the rain ;)
