Cheeky birdy

I like to think of myself as a nature lover, I get out into nature more often then some.
But when nature decided to come inside, uninvited.....dude, that ain't cool!

This cheeky pigeon came wondering in the back door one day last week, in the laundry and waddled through to the kitchen....where I could see it's cheeky journey from my arm chair in the lounge room.
Jack was napping in my arms at the time, so I listerned helplessly as it fluttered and splatted itself at the closed kitchen window.
Kinda looks here like it came to do my dirty dishes huh...if only!!!
Bloody duffer, luckily for it Sophie was locked away in her box and not out on the prow...lucky for me too, otherwise I'd of been cleaning up a deady, eewww
When Jack woke, I went and tried to open the kitchen window...but like many things in our dodgy rental house...it didn't budge.
By now the bird was pretty distressed, and all it's flapping was making  JackJack scared, so I grabbed it quickly in the sleeve of my cardi and took it outside.
JackJack wanted so keenly to get up close and look at it, nervously giggling, but then it'd flinch or squawk and he'd quickly retreat screaming! :(
Safely back outside, it soon took flight and disappeared over the back fence.....and for the remainder of the day my little broken record kept saying "Birdy gone" ;)

Your a brave lady Jen. I have a terrible fear of birds for some reason. I would hate to think what would happen if one was in my house. I would more than likly, ring the husband and get him to save the day.

That was a lovely bronzewing though... it's mate was probably looking for it! Good on you for being brave enough to get it out... I'd have called my mum lol
