Preggy prezzie for Ebbie...

This is my friend Ebz and her hubby Mike.

They went to school with my hubby Tyler.

 

They're gorgeous, genuine, caring folks and are fun and a joy to be around. 

 They're beautiful daughter Marlie is mates with my JackJack ;)

Marlie is an IVF baby.  She was such a blessing for Eb and Mike, such a miracle to have conceived her, and she sure does reward them with being an absolute delight of a child :)

Earlier this year, while I was on a little holiday away with JackJack, I received some unbelievable news...... Ebony had just found out she was pregnant!....Naturally!!!! :-0

The girl who was told she was going into premature menopause, had failed IVF attempts to conceive a sibling for Marlie, needed to take an IVF break for her own sanity, was PREGNANT!!!!!!! The news blew me away!  I cried!  I rang her straight away and Mike answered the phone, you could hear it in his voice, the shock, the overwhelmingly exciting shock!  Eb got on the phone and was jumping outta her skin, squealing down the phone.....it is one of the best damn phone conversations I have ever experienced!

If Marlie was a miracle, what is this child?!!  The news left me buzzing for days....golly only knows how Eb and Mike felt if I was this excited as a friend ;)

I can't even describe in words just how absolutely excited I am that they have been blessed with this little belly bub!

I wanted to do something for Ebbie to show her how happy I am for her, so I set to work creating something as a special gift.

I had previously sanded back a set of Babushka dolls, using the tallest 3 as a present I made for a friends birthday, painting them in the families likeness, so I had the smallest 2 left.

I took the tiniest doll, the one that is solid, and got Tyler to drill a hole through it's head, and painted it up with a flower on it's belly surrounded by the word "Miracle", then made a necklace for it out of embroidery thread.

This is the results......  

One side has the wording around the flower....

The other side has the wording on one side of the flower(simply only coz I accidentally didn't line the flower up with where the front would be, according to the necklace holes, but the effect is actually nice)

So it can be worn either way.

I did get a pic of Ebbie wearing it tonight, when I finally gave it too her, but my camera batteries have just died so I can't yet load those pics up....but I didn't wanna wait to blog it coz I was dying to share this! lol

I was originally gonna give it to Ebz as soon as it was finished, then it was taking so long to do it between coats of paint and around JackJack, I decided to give it at the 12wk mark.....which came and went and it was still not complete!

Better late then never....Ebz is 15wks today ;)
