Little Fishy

Saturday mornings, JackJack wakes up to Muma and Daddy singing "Lil fishy, LIL FISHY!!", a song we made up and have sung before every swimming lesson. ;)
Today we noticed that our little fella's increasing independence shone through in the pool.
He insisted on putting his arm floaties on all by himself, and when he put them both on the one arm, Daddy joked that he would be swimming in circles!
Jack can now swim through the water, without being held....something he is so excited about!
Tyler said that every time he caught him his heart was raising through his chest....can you imagine how hard his little body is working to do all this marvelous movement in the water?!!
His teacher Shaz is just as proud as we are....Jack has been with her since he was 6mths old, she has seen him develop from baby to toddler, from not even crawling to walking...all the while with a big beaming smile on his face and full of giggles, loving every minute in the water!
Doing a mat run and jump into the water to Daddy.....
And all of this gets to be shared with his best buddy, Bradley ;)

I am jealous... i think that will be stels in no time... xave screams the whole time he is in the water.. he loves the idea of going, he loves playing on the stair, but getting in the water and being let go... NO WAY!!!! i think its because he only started lessons this year, i wish we had started him earlier...

Isn't it funny though to think that all of us, in our generation "back in our day", swimming lessons started when we were in primary school....yet these days starting them passed 1yo seems late
