Remembering 4yrs of love locked....Part 3....

Sealed with a kiss....pronounced husband and wife!!
Woot woot!!!!!
See all the danglers on my arm?  I had 3 good luck gifts...
A wire and pearl heart, from my bridesmaid Ailsa.
A lacy horseshoe from Tyler's Grandma, with a handwritten note to us stuck on it.
A hand made knitted and laced horseshoe, made by my Grandma's best friend Cath.
As traditional....
Something old... I wore my mums veil(which is a wedding tradition in itself, it is said to be good marital luck to wear a veil of a happily married relative, preferably your mother)
I also wore my mums pearl necklace
Something new... the pearl hair piece that held the veil in and pearl earrings
Something borrowed... The bag I carried was borrowed from Ailsa
The necklace borrowed from mum
The veil borrowed from mum
Something blue... my Nanny's blue floral scarf was in the bag.
And a penny for her shoe... I didn't know this line, but mum did, and she taped a 5c coin on my shoe! I had slip-ons and she tapped it under the ball of my foot
Also carried in the bag were some other special mementos... A little note Tyler had once hidden in a sandwich he made me for my work lunch(naww!), the ultrasound pic of our angel babies, as mentioned- Nanny's scarf- she died when I was 8yo so the scarf was to have a piece of her with me, a photo of my mum and dad(coz they're the longest married couple I know and would hope to follow their lead), and then of course lippy and tissues and touch up stuff ;)
The flowers... are artificial! I wanted lavender, to tie in with the babies(they had lavender planted in their pot), but we couldn't find any fresh stuff so we got fake stuff!  The pink flowers, who knows what they are, but they looked cute so thought they'll do!
Tyler also had two angel pins under his flower on his jacket, of course for our babies.

After the ceremony, my favourite song was played... "I've had the time of my life" from Dirty Dancing movie ;)
I love the photo of Chaplain Jean and I after the ceremony, she told me she felt our babies presence and that we were so brave and loving to include them in our special day.
I remember fresh from her saying the piece for them, I wondered if I could regain control after feeling like I was gonna blubber into a mess, then I looked up and Tyler pulled a cheeky face....just what I needed, and we were back to happy!

The bridal party...l-r: Ailsa, my friend. Cindy, my sister. Amelia(Millie) my niece. Polly, our dog and "practice child" as people called her! Dan and James, Tyler's brothers
The Family... Do you see what I married into? I'm breeding with GIANTS!!!! lol
l-r: Tyler's family- Mum, Helen, James, step dad, Dan, Tyler and I, my mum Linda, my dad Bruce, sister Cindy and brother Warwick.

After photo's around Schnapper point, we all headed to my mum and dad's for the reception, which was a good ol' Aussie barbie chew ;)
I love a good sausage sizzle, yum yum!
We also served rainbow paddle pops for dessert!
These dolls were originally made for a centre piece for our engagement party.....by me!!
Did you ever have a Walking Wendy doll? These are them!  Found them at an opshop, cut their hair off and set to work gluing wool to make our hair colour(yeah I had dif colour hair at our engagement party so she didn't match me here!), and I hand sewed the suit for the Tyler doll, shoes are kids shoes from opshop, Jen doll dress is cardboard covered in icing with marshmellows stuck all over it!! Note the little Polly pic I added to it too!
These dolls are still with us today, and have been re-dressed for several occasions-including blue singlets and jeans for my mums country themed 50th birthday, and the Jen doll now has a little Jack doll in a sling!! :)
The cake was mostly made by me, with assistants from my bridesmaids and mum.
Butterflied large chocolate cupcakes at the base.
Mini vanilla cupcakes with piped butterflies.
Mini butter cupcakes with sugar butterflies.
And the main cake, with two butterflies I made out of fimo, instead of a bride and groom

Kiss the bride....and again! xx
My sister and Mum with me
My brother Warwick, with Wife Deb....married 2yrs before us
My sister Cindy and now fiance Chris
After a crappy hiccup at our engagement party, which saw my Dad miss out on doing a speech, I decided to stuff the tradition of all the speeches for the wedding and made Dad the only speech maker!!!!! lol
Except for our thank-you's of course ;)
In the wedding invites, we included little envelopes for donation instead of gifts.  The money was donated to the Bonnie Babes Society, who helped us out a lot after loosing the babies.
Some of the guests enjoying their rainbow paddle pops....
Tyler's Grandma asked to bring a friend, who was her bridesmaid at her wedding many years ago! Pretty spesh huh ;)
The family in the pic above is Tyler's Uncle Craig...... I'm thinking he's a glimpse into what my hubby may look like as an older bloke! lol

Honeymoon!!  When we went to leave, Tyler started up the ute, and confetti flew outta the air vents! It was kinda magical ;)  Funny thing is....4yrs later and we still find the stuff in there, lol
We honeymooned in Healesville for two nights
So, of course we went to the Healesville Sanctuary, which was my first time ;)

Ailsa set this up in our house for us to arrive home to!
The bedroom, bathroom and loungeroom were all done up very romantic xxx

I love your dolls, and what wonderful cake and cup cakes. I got married in July 2009 and your wedding reminded me of mine in a way. Laid back, close family and friends, hand made things to make it that extra special, home made wedding cake. Relaxed just fun fun fun. Me and my husband also only had 2 nights away.
