Bubbly Bop and Pop!

Tuesday we decided to have a jarmie day.  This has to be the most funnest jarmie day I have ever had!  Usually, for me, jarmie day doesn't mean much more then barely gravitating outside of your cozy bed all day, but Jack and I had an absolute ball!!
We have started just this to have our afternoon tea out on the porch to say good-bye to Daddy as he leaves for work(why it took me so long to realise how great our front yard is to play in, I don't know!).
The reason that has had us venture out now is to check on our little cocoon buddy, who I've been photographing everyday(stay tuned for a separate blog post!).
After having our afternoon tea and a bit of a run around the yard, we went in to enjoy a new activity I set up for Jack....the bubble machine!!!
Tyler and I bought the bubble machine for Jack's 1st birthday party, only to discover that at that stage our little boy was TERRIFIED of bubbles :-0
But then we have noticed in the last month or so, as his friends have played with bubble bottles, that he has watched in awe and giggled, so we whipped the machine back out and these are the results..... ;-) .......
bubbles, bubbles everywhere!
Another 1st for our growing boy recently is POPCORN!!!
After absolutely devouring it for afternoon tea at his mate Bradleys house, we decided it was time to introduce it at home for an alternative snack, and Jack has gone MAD for it
;-) mmmmm
I set the bubble machine up on the heater, but noticed quite quickly that it made a soapy mess, so I grabbed some material from my fabric stash and covered everything up.
Along with the bubbles and the popcorn, we cranked up the music!
When I was pregnant, my Dad knew that I was playing music to my belly for bub to hear, so he started borrowing lots of children's music cd's from our local library and made copies for us.  We have a great collection of nursery rhymes, lullabies and relaxation music.
From all these cd's, for Jack's 1st birthday party, we made a mix cd of all songs featuring "Jack", and this is my favourite cd.  Jack's favourite to dance to is a Sesame Street cd, so that was the most played this day!
After a messy dinner, where Jack decided it was not complete without finger painting his top with mashed veggies, lol, another jarmie change and he was keen to get back to the bubbly dancing...........
